Looking for a new way to meet people in Denver?
The Amigas Book Swap is a welcoming community gathering where books become the starting point for meaningful conversation. Presented in partnership with SHPE Colorado, this new event series brings together readers, professionals, creatives, and lifelong learners to share stories, exchange books, and build authentic connections.
Unlike a traditional book club, there's no assigned reading.
Instead, each month features a new theme, and attendees are invited to bring a book that fits the topic—whether it's a memoir that changed your perspective, a leadership book that inspired you, or a story you simply couldn't stop recommending.
During the event, each guest has the opportunity to briefly share:
The book they brought
Why it resonated with them
Who they think would enjoy reading it
From there, the conversation unfolds naturally as guests exchange ideas, discover new books, and connect over shared experiences before swapping books to take home.
Whether you're an avid reader or simply looking for a thoughtful way to meet new people, you'll leave with a new book, fresh inspiration, and meaningful connections.
